Accelerated Reader in an independent reading program to build comprehension. The program in school wide and student are expected to earn a certain number of points each nine weeks to stay on target with growth goal for reading set by and monitored through the STAR diagnostic test. Awards are given each nine weeks to the highest readers in each of the grades.
