DESCRIPTION OF COURSE

American History for 7th grade is the study of America from colonial times to the reconstruction of America after the Civil War.  Through studies in Geography, Government and History, students will learn about early America’s history and how it has shaped the country we live in today. 

TEXTBOOK

The Textbook for this class is Holt United States History: Beginnings to 1877.

This textbook will be provided to students to complete in class activities.  No text book will be needed to complete homework assignments.  Homework serves as a review; assignments are designed so students will have the knowledge and ability to complete them without the textbook.  Students can go to the online textbook at home and do extra activities and take online classes at http://go.hrw.com/gopages/ss-ah.html
